Alright so here is some breaking news that we just received directly to our email. We usually avoid night-time posts, but we made an exception since this was some potentially breaking news.
One of our readers, Dwight Bendish, was walking around the set of The Dark Knight Rises a few weeks ago while they were still filming in New York and noticed a trailer with the name E. Page on it and took a picture because it intrigued him. We didn’t think much of it since Ellen Page is, according to IMDB, currently shooting a film called The East that’s coming out in 2012.
But then what suddenly caught our attention was the fact that her character’s name in quotations was “B.Gordon”, as in, Barbara Gordon. Barbara “Babs” Gordon, is the daughter of Police Commissioner James Gordon played by Gary Oldman.
So what? Well she also happened to be Batgirl in the comics. Now we highly doubt she’ll be playing Batgirl in The Dark Knight Rises, but we’re almost certain that she’ll be in the film at the very least. She has a relationship with Christopher Nolan from the film Inception and has two co-stars that are integral characters in the film; Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
So let’s go over all this once again. She has a trailer around the New York set of The Dark Knight Rises, her character’s name, Barbara Gordon, name matches a character from the Batman comics, she’s been in a previous film with Christopher Nolan and he’s known to reuse actors from previously films. Phew.

With the 8 year gap between TDK and TDKR this could totally work in the film, but I’m wondering why we are only getting this pic now after we know about the time jump, they stopped filming a while ago. I’m gonna say fake…. But I hope it’s not

Not entirely true… I was on the set of the Great Gatsby two days ago and Joel Edgerton’s trailer had “Tom” (his character’s name) listed on the door.
as if anyone off the street could just “wander around the set” while they were filming! give your heads a shake and stop talking rubbish!! :p
Do you know how much video footage (and photography) has leaked from this production? Amateur videographers have basically followed the production all the way from Pittsburgh to L.A. – half the film has been spoiled at this point. We’ve already seen Bane talking about “rising up” against Gotham, massive fights in front of City Hall, Catwoman riding a Batpod, several key action sequences and multiple scenes between Bruce and Selina.
Whether or not this is a genuine leak is one thing, but it’s not without precedent.

Alot of those scenes you just mentioned are apart of the same action sequences. lol Don’t let these set videos and pics make you assume we know more about this movie than actually do. Because we don’t. Certainly not half of the film.

Yeah, there’s an eight year gap. Anyone notice how old the little girl Gordon’s wife (also named Barbara Gordon) was holding at the end of the last film was? She was a toddler. Eight years plus toddler don’t equal Ellen Page, no matter how child-like she looks. And she’s not old enough to be playing Gordon’s wife either. Hence, it’s a fake.
In some continuities, Barbara Gordon/Batgirl/Oracle is Jim Gordon’s niece.

Her daughter could be named after here mother. You actually see a bit of Gordon’s daughter in the second film, and this one takes place 8 years after that so..maybe, maybe not. I’m not so sure if this is true or not.

Hey guys. My friend is a lighting tech for Warner Brothers. Anyways, his sisters brother is boyfriends with an actress named Eva Page that said she was going to have a small role (cocktail waitress at a party) in the movie. So, I am pretty sure this is what this is all about.

If anyone bothered to read the comics they would know that barbra gordon isnt his biological child. Seeing as shes adopted it can take place between these last two however i highly doubt batgirl will be in it, let alone nightwing. Their still working on individual batman, if ellen page is in it i garuntee its just a cameo.

Like already said, in this franchise Barbara Gordon is the Comissioner’s wife. He says it a couple times during TDK. She’s not very heroic either.
